The essence of peri operative nursing within our Theatre and Endoscopy departments is to provide a safe and caring environment for all patients. Operating Department nurses have the specialised skills and technical knowledge to implement programmes of patient care. Skilled peri operative nursing assistance is provided to the patient, Consultant Surgeons and Anaesthetists, as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
The Operating Department is further supported by the assistance of theatre attendants, CSSD Operatives and hotel service staff.
