Pathology
The Pathology Department performs numerous clinical laboratory tests and these results are intended to identify and monitor diseases and their treatment. The Pathology Department provides a quality, efficient service for both in-patients and out-patients. All laboratory disciplines participate in internationally accredited external quality control schemes. The departments are equipped with state of the art, modern analysers and equipment. Phlebotomy services are available Monday to Friday from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm - 4.30 pm. The pathology department has an information management system and results of tests are available on-line in the wards once they have been clinically validated by the pathology staff.
