Discharge instructions for patients who have undergone
Day Care Procedure with Sedation.
You must be accompanied
home by a responsible adult
DURING THE FIRST 24 HOURS AFTER YOUR SEDATION:
- Ensure that someone stays in the house with you
and that you have access to a telephone.
- Do not drive,
operate machinery, ride a bicycle, cook or take alcohol.
- It is advisable not to undertake heavy physical activity.
Your short term memory may be impaired for 48 hours after
your sedation. You should not, therefore, make important
business decisions or sign legal documents during this
period.
