The Bon Secours Maternity Unit is a private 60-bed
unit. We exist to support you through the birth of your baby
and your new beginning as parents.
Patients attend Consultant Obstetrician/ Gynaecologists privately
in rooms adjoining the Hospital.
Parent Craft Classes
1st Time Mums
Course of 4 classes given by Midwifes and Physiotherapists.
2nd Time Mums and upwards
A refresher course consisting of 2 classes.
Partners are welcome and a fee is charged.
The Delivery Suite
The Delivery Suite is decorated like a bedroom at home but
is fully equipped with all emergency equipment. Patients
in labour are not transferred at any stage of labour, delivery
or recovery except for emergency caesarean sections.
A birthing partner is welcome throughout labour and delivery
Special Care Baby Unit
The Special Care Baby Unit is a modern up to the minute
unit for sick babies or babies with special needs. A parents’ room
is available. |
