Radiology

Radiology is a very widely used investigative procedure. The Radiology Suite Facilities include up to date conventional radiography, specialised equipment for fluoroscopy and tomography, full mammographic facilities and ultrasound scanning equipment. Portable X-Ray machines are used in the Intensive Care Unit and Theatres.

Available facilities:
As well as conventional radiography we also offer specialised urological radiology such as retrograde pyleograms, venography, sialography, percutaneous cholangiograms and cholecystograms.

Various ultrasound investigations are carried out including the assesment of pregnancy. There is also a Doppler facility on the ultrasound machine which allows investigations of abnormalities in the blood vessels.

Mammography is available for screening breast disease. Using the most modern equipment the examination is completed within 30 minutes.
