Infection Control
Infection Control Department resources are available to Medical and Nursing
staff in their clinical practice and also to patients and relatives who
may have concerns regarding infection control issues.
The Department is open between 8am and 4:15pm Monday to Thursday and
8am to 3:15 on Fridays.
Haemovigillance
The Haemovigillance program was established in this Hospital in April
2003.
The program identifies the unexpected or undesirable effects of transfusion
of blood components and ensures that they are reported in a timely and
reliable manner. This serves as a very important source in early identification
of emerging trends in blood transfusion hazards. Haemovigillance also
promotes the highest standard of transfusion practice within the Hospital
Occupational Health
The Occupational Health Department is
a key resource in promoting and maintaining the
health, well being and work-life balance of staff.
Its services, which are open to all employees,
include health promotion, base line screening and
general medical advice.
Each May its sponsors a very successful Occupational Health Week which
promotes a range of occupational health related issues.
The Department is currently open Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday 9am till
2pm
