Smoking cessation
This Unit is responsible for the provision of Phase One
cardiac rehabilitation to all patients with admission diagnosis
of Acute Coronary Syndrome.
It also promotes and offers a Smoking Cessation Programme
which is available to Patients, staff, visitors and the
general public, through six-week group meetings and one
to one counselling.
This hospital is an approved Irish heart Foundation/American
Heart Association Training site for all levels of resuscitation
training from basic friends and family C.P.R to Advanced
Cardiac Life Support training.
