Welcome to the Chaplaincy Department. The Chaplains provide Pastoral Care as they attend to the spiritual and pastoral needs of patients, relatives of patients and staff.
The Chaplaincy team offers a welcome to all who enter our hospital. Pastoral care ministry is part of the hospital’s holistic and multi disciplinary approach to the healing of the whole person and is an essential element in total patient care.
Members of our team visit patients in their rooms on a regular basis. Local Priests and ministers of other denominations are welcome and are contacted by Chaplains as required. For person “on call” contact Reception.
Chaplains respect the right of people to choose whether or not they wish to participate in religious activities. They also respect the right of people to have access to a minister of their own religion and denomination.

The Chaplaincy Department is situated on the ground floor near the Chapel and all are welcome to make contact through Ward or Reception personnel..

RELIGIOUS SERVICES:
The Chapel on the ground floor is open at all times for prayer and reflection. All services in Chapel are relayed through our Television network – Channel 9. During the day reflective music is also available on channel 9.
TIME OF SERVICES:
MASSES
Every day (including Sunday) 11.00 a.m.
Vigil Mass for Sundays and Church holidays 7.30 p.m.
Distribution of Holy Communion to patients
Monday – Friday (incl.) except on Bank Holidays 11.20 a.m.
Sundays 11.40 a.m.
CONFESSIONS
After distribution of Holy Communion and on request.
SACRAMENT OF SICK
Every Monday evening (except on Bank Holidays) 6.00 p.m.
