The Centre for Nurse Education in Bon Secours Hospital was established in June 2002 and evolved from the pre existing School of Nursing, which was an integral part of the Hospital since 1923.

The Medical Oncology Department administers a full range of intravenous and oral cancer treatments (chemotherapy). We liase closely with our surgical colleagues.
- Out Patient Department
The Out Patient Department is currently open from 0800 - 17.30 Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays. It is a very busy department seeing in excess of 15,000 patients per annum.

The Respiratory Medicine Department diagnoses and treats the following conditions. Airways Disease • Asthma • Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease (cigarette related disease).

The theatre suite is located on the second floor of the hospital adjacent to the intensive care unit.
- Pathology
The Bon Secours Cork Pathology Laboratory is fully accredited to ISO 15189, the International Standard for Medical testing Laboratories.
