Nursing Philosophy
It is our mission to provide the most appropriate care for patients in a setting that supports and responds to each patient’s unique needs.
We pride ourselves on having a group of very committed and truly professional nurses who give the highest quality of care to our patients.
All patients are treated with respect, justice and compassion in keeping with the mission and values of the Bon Secours Sisters.
We endeavour to empower patients to be independent and offer support as required. Every effort will be made by nurses, as the patients’ advocate, to ensure that patients understand the nature and purpose of their care and treatment.
The information we receive from patients is privileged and it is treated with privacy and confidentiality. We are committed to caring for our patients and assisting them as they strive towards optimal recovery.
Nursing management through the Clinical Nurse Managers, are involved in the co-ordination of care during their hospital stay. This close involvement ensures that all patients are treated in a holistic and individualised manner, considerate of their values and beliefs.
