Physiotherapy
Our Physiotherapy Department is staffed by a team of highly experienced chartered physiotherapists who will complete a detailed assessment prior to commencing treatment. All treatments and exercises are tailored to the individual needs of the patient.
Services
- Rehabilitation for acute and chronic sports injuries
- Back rehabilitation including core stability exercise programme
- Assessment/Treatment of musculoskeletal problems including work related overuse injuries, posture problems.
- Biomechanical foot evaluation, computerised scanning and the provision of orthotics where indicated.
- Treatment and advice for RA & OA sufferers and other rheumatological conditions.
- Post-orthopaedic Surgery rehabilitation.
- Phototherapy – UVL using TLOI unit - Dermatologist referral only
- Acupuncture
- Treatment of respiratory conditions
- Women’s health issues – treatment of incontinence using electrical stimulation and P.F. rehabilitation
- Evaluation/Assessment of Neurological conditions
- Treatment of osteopoenia / osteoporosis- on individual or class basis depending on individual needs.
Treatment programme will include some of the following:
- Manual techniques
- Soft tissue techniques
- Electrotherapy i.e. I.F.T, Curapuls, Ultrasound, Laser, Muscle stimulation
- Application of heat/ice
- Exercise programme
- Traction
- Acupuncture

Accepted from Physiotherapists, Consultants and GPs with accompanying letter Self-referrals are accepted excluding patients following Road traffic accidents and patients requiring phototherapy |
