Densitometry
What is Densitometry?
Bone Densitometry is a method of measuring the calcium content or density of bones - the lower the density the greater the potential risk for fracture in the future. It is normally used as a form of screening, utilising very low dose x-rays. A Bone Densitometry or DEXA scan as it is also known takes a few minutes, is non-invasive and provides accurate results. For further information please download PDF.
